Starting earlier than ever this year.

As Darrell Clarke said in his interview, we need 15 wins and 35 games to get ‘em.

Countdown starts now!

Some task with the current make up of the squad.
Expecting things to improve in January though, but would that give us enough time?

Let's be realistic with the size if the task.
DC is rebuilding for next years L2.

We some how avoided the drop last year with the likes of May, Broom, Jackson and Caleb.

15 wins for a team yet to score is pure fantasy.

You have seen the performances?

Yes its wishful thinking however has got to be the target.

Personally id accept relegation and save the money to build a decent squad next year. Blowing money this year is a waste IMO as I cannot see us avoiding the drop

I was just setting the countdown target mate. Wasn’t commenting on whether it it is realistic or not.

From where I sit, it is good to have a goal (no pun intended), for the rest of the season. The alternative is to aimlessly accept our current state and drift into L2 without a fight.
Will we make it, the odds say no, but why not try and shape our own destiny? Too easy to get caught up in this current goalless run and talk ourselves into thinking it is all inevitable. Win 15 of our battles this season from now on, let the squad just concentrate on that and hope DC can clear their minds of the past and try and inject some self belief, Being no hope'ers today is as good a place to start as any. I shall be cheering on from Paris and hoping for a great display of self belief. COYR

Yep, the longest of long shots but at least give it a go. I’m committed to all home games and plenty of away games this season so expect the same of the players.

A relegation battle is as eventful as a playoff push, but we need the battle.

15 wins = 15 goals potentially.

3 penalties
3 own goals
2 deflections
2 set pieces
1 cross that inadvertently sails in
1 goal mouth scramble
1 hit and hope worldly from 35 yards
1 Russian linesman
1 normal goal from a striker

That’s all we need (albeit the last one may be a stretch too far).

Actually it was 15 wins and a few draws with some input from the footballing gods - Deus ex machina.

Draws etc come out in the wash. 13 more wins needed.

The key to survival is to win at home and draw away against your relegation rivals. Any away win against them and points from fixtures against the top 10 are bonuses.

Encouraging that Exeter continue to freefall - and how - and a few others are in no form at all. Keep up this form and we could genuinely be above the dotted line by the end of December.

As of 16 Dec, PPG Prophet was forecasting CTFC to finish the season with 37 points…but just above the line in 20th place! See:

(Icing on the cake - also forecasting some lot in Nailsworth to finish on 35 points, and (quite firmly) destined for the National League. See:

4 of the next 6 at home - Blackpool and Charlton under the lights, plus Vale and Burton. Aways at Wigan and Wycombe will be tricky but certainly no reason we can't pick up something. We then face a run of Oxford A, Barnsley A and Peterborough H so I think we need at least 10 points from the next 6, which would put us on 36 with 11 to play.

It’s the same as it’s always been this season - if we are within 3 points on the last game of the season that will be heroic.

Fingers crossed

The obsession continues  :D

Get a hobby confused! You can’t wait round all week waiting for a bloke to post so you can reply?

But you can…and you do

I’ll step aside from this site now as confused?/ihearye is obsessively trolling me.

Remember the post about how to get this site to get more traffic? Yeah - not allowing one troll to preside over it!

Cheers, up the town
