So did Luke Garbutt but he turned out to be alright. Hopefully he'll surprise everyone. Not that this seems to have been confirmed anywhere as the ctfc link doesn't work, despite the headline on the homepage?

He don't half look like Welbeck.

First for the Q&A - Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko?
Lets hopes its the latter, one has got to love a club nicknamed the "porcupines"

Interesting that were going to have a youngster playing on the opposite side to Haworth given this lad is 18, Kotwica is 17 or 18 and Sterling James is 20. A conscious move against experienced players like we had last year.

The two wingers that will be benched will get good opportunities in the latter stages of games though against tired defences though which will hopefully lead to some exciting football and all 4 wingers having prosperous seasons.

I think he could well be a starter. Birmingham fans are sad to see him being loaned out and he was said to be in with a chance of breaking through there, that's at Championship level.

On FM14, he's rated 86 currently. And before people say "basing your opinion of a player on a computer game!!" teams on that game have researchers who will attend basically every game, even at youth level, in order to give their verdict on how good a player is (or isn't). Obviously their verdicts aren't always perfect, they get a lot right.

Hope you are right Pete perhaps I let my bias of him being on loan at Lincoln in the conference and not standing out cloud my judgement.

Interesting comment on Birmingham's website report:

'The terms of his loan move to Cheltenham will still allow the player to represent Blues U21s, for whom he scored twice during a 5-0 behind-closed-doors friendly win over Wigan Athletic earlier this week.'

Given he has squad number 16 for Birmingham and watching him for their U18s against ours, I would expect him to be higher up the pecking order than Kotwica. Question remains as to whether Sterling James will be ready enough to start but at the minute I'd be expecting this lad to be starting the first game of the season.

I think he sounds a good signing and maybe a good one for our fans. I think there is a lot of entering the unknown this season where many of us have rarely seen or heard of some of our players so expectations are not massive.

Previously, some got frustrated at the likes of Richards and Cureton because of the experience they have which leads to expectation and fans getting audibly annoyed if they are not really making a difference.

Often, our fans are more encouraged by the younger, unknown types which may help with a bit of positivity around the ground

Exactly. Rather see youth trying and getting it wrong, but learning, than experienced players who should know better and won't get any better.

He's not afraid to shoot thats for sure and that can sometimes be an issue for CTFC "strikers"

This Kid looks to be sensational, can't wait to see him on Tuesday against a decent Bristol City side. I think he is going to scare the life out of fullbacks in League 2 for sure :D

With Arthur, OS-J and Kotwica on the wings, we have frightening pace this season. As long as the quality of the ball into the box is decent, we should be creating plenty of chances most matches.

Be refreshing to see running towards goal and shooting at goal.

Based on what I saw today he may be a regular starter for us, certainly a lot better than Haworth and Kotwica. Has good control and likes to run with the ball however I would have concerns about his physical stature against the usual lower league cloggers.

As long as we have decent Refs, a couple of late tackles should see the cloggers in the book. We can hope.
