Quick off the mark as ever, knocking a player before you even know if he is on our radar.

Or perhaps I am concerned that he could be on our radar and don't believe him to be good enough....

I don't understand - if he can't get game time at Bristol Rovers, why would a league team take him - or more realistically, why would he think he'd get game time at a league club. Surely if anything he would just be sat on the bench in case of injury.

Looks physical. I don't care who he is or is not playing for if it is us I want to see him play before judging.

Well, a club near the top of the league, with free scoring forwards preventing someone returning from injury getting a place in the side may well be in a position to loan a player to a club who have just had their top scorer taken away from them. But there is a fallacy with the argument, which I am sure you can spot!!
It is likely, though, that even after relegation, Rovers are playing with a bigger budget (and a bigger loss on the season) than we are

Scoring record not great. Do we want a target man to lump the ball upto or should we be looking for a more technically skilled striker?

The 'little and large' partnership whilst looking skywards for the ball never hurt us in he past.

Alsop and Naylor - Magic Days. Got to be 1 of of Chelt's best ever partnerships up front. Certainly the best I've seen since I started supporting the Robins.

Similar sized club to us in reality, don't see either of us as little or large clubs in league two!
