Some good comments from PB, in a sense with the demise of the Hairyturds and Brizzle Rovers this is our biggest league derby by some way now. Would be good to whip up interest and push for a 5000 gate, even Glos V FGR managed 2000 or so!

It's a tasty draw. I'm sure Swindon will fill the away end so hopefully we can get a few home fans through the gate!

I have a horrible feeling we will struggle to get 3000 home fans but the Brizzle City game gives me hope and as PB says this one is a bigger/closer rivalry feel.

I'm sure we'll get 4-4500. Big bonus match for us.

What was the home crowd last time we played them at home? I seem to remember it was around 4500 when Di Canio brought them and we won 1-0?

Edit: 4402.

The 2011-12 season was it when we beat them early on in the season. A memorable atmosphere to me and there was a definite edge to the air and the celebration. I think it's the only game I have been to where my first action after the final whistle was to shout to the opposition club rather than our own.

Bring em on. Get this on a Friday night and send them back down the A417 and Brunel's rails embarrassed and wounded.

It’s a bad draw for us we wanted a home draw against a so called minnow and then to stay in the cup until the big boys are in it, and then hopefully get a really big draw, if the game against Swindon isn’t televised and then we get knocked out the shared gate receipts after stoppages will be our cup money for this season, and it wont make much difference to our season.

Look at some of the years we did well in the cup. We have had difficult games. Tranmere away. Oldham away. Both written off as certain defeat. This is what cup football is about. Swindon won't be looking forward to it.

We showed against Bristol City for parts of the 2nd half that we can at least compete. I don't think Swindon are playing at the same standard as City currently, but it's still a tough draw that we'll do well to get through.

Agree DD - If we are on top form and Swindon are below par, we have every chance of causing an upset.

I'll call it now; De Vita 87th minute winner.
