If the weather conditions had been kind 2 matches in 24 hours might have worked
However with the frost around the FA probably did us a favour because if we had been able to play last night followed by tonight the pitch would have been totally ruined by our our fair boot

After last night, todays game was never going to be on The highest temperature was about 2 and that was where there was no fog. Where there was fog it probably didnt get above freezing

We know the frost covers only give protection to -4 or-5. We know that the hazelwood gets water -logged then frozen and takes a long time to defrost as it gets no sun

Perhaps at some point a balloon raised cover can be purchased or the roll out sheets with heating that professional growers in the Vale of Evesham use could be purchased

Covering the hazelwood end( out 20 yds )would probably be enough or a supersoaker as per cricket for heavy rain

If we still have the lodgers next season then the rent should be sufficient to pay for a complete makeover of the pitch, the cost of an extra groundsman and enough to pay a quality 1st team player so around £200K would do .
If they dont like that then they know what they can do

Back to the FA decision as it turns out the one winner is the pitch
