Good move, better to bring it forward then move it back.

Indeed. Good work by all involved in getting this re-arranged so soon. Let's just hope the weather doesn't scupper these plans.

Good and bad news really.

Good that it's been re-arranged so quickly and Gateshead are in the Trophy 4 days later, so they will have that on their minds and a long trip for them too. Are they part time or full time anyone know ?

But I much prefer games on a Saturday at 3.00 pm - better time and a bigger crowd on a Saturday, and in the pub straight after the match and no work next day !! I expect lots of fans feel the same way.

But it can't be helped and it might work in our favour, the Woking home game could go the same way too. Just hope the Welling game this Saturday is not called off.

Who said you weren't full time or playing well? Gateshead must have agreed to play on the Tuesday before the Trophy game otherwise it wouldn't be going ahead...it shouldn't be any bother for full time players :)

Out of interest how do you sustain full time football given how low your gates are?

Owners keep them going. Probably have a decent rental agreement with Gateshead Council. Plus players on tap as Tyne and Wear produces a lot of players, and players probably have lower living costs so command lower wages.

Given that Gateshead are the third highest ranked team in Tyne and Wear, a metropolitan county with a population over 1.1million, there is certainly potential for them to sustain a full time club.

Yes have a good link up with nufc, and the mackums, mind you the ground is half the problem, the international stadium is wot it is a athletics stadium and is at times a bit soulless even with a decent crowd and a good away support, glumsby bought nigh on a thousand and you could hardly hear a thing, the new ground has hit a slow down for a number of reasons, anyhow looking forward to the trip and the crack I think we're also better away from home f Green ,eastleigh twice we have won at however your the team to beat and unless you have a bad spell big time, and f Green or glumsby hit top form it's yours to lose
