Definitely had a very good spell for us and looked good. Also had his bad moments.

Has he still got the record with Andy Gallinagh as the centre back partnership with the longest clean sheet for us? Or was it just a League record?

Did he also hold the record for the Biggest Shorts - or did Barry Hayles have that...?

Gallers was a rock that season. Reminiscent of Chris Baird in Fulham Europa Final season or Mascherano in the Torres/Rafa-facts Liverpool season.

"Cainsey, you were our number 5, Cainsey your 'shorts' were supersized"

Yep, he was decent for us, until that idiot MA came in and destroyed the team.

Cainesy made a great left winger!!!

Highlight of his career with us - like many players.

I kind of feel with Caines that he was a loyal player punching above his weight (excuse the pun), kind of player that always did OK, tried hard, didn't let the team down without ever excelling.

Kept She-ra quiet when we played Newcastle and he also popped up with some useful goals while he was with us. Never looked very comfortable when we resorted to Plan C and pushed him up front for the last 20 minutes - a role that John Brough used to perform really well.

Brough was epic at that. Ran like a hunch back camel but he put in quality performance after quality performance. One of my all time faves and always will be.

I loved Cainsey whilst he was here, great attitude and had a lot of pace for a big man.
