The gaffer also working hard to bring back Rob Dickie, Dillon Phillips and Callum Burgess.

I've not heard any firm names, although I did hear a name a few weeks back from Wolves but I am assuming these new players will be either strikers or wingers. I'm assuming we will sign a back up keeper later in the summer once we know if we have sealed Dillon on loan or not.

We have Jordan Cranston though Horlick and I believe any new players coming in at this point will be to go straight into the first team, we can sign cover later in the summer. I'm not saying you are definitely incorrect though as Cranston has not overly impressed so far but a winger seems to be the most logical given we cannot use loans and only have Dayton and to a lesser extent Rowe/Munns/Waters.

I didn't hear GJ say 1-2 new signings this week - he only said he speaking to a couple of players this week and hopefully he'll have some news for us. Don't go expecting any announcements, just in case. Last thing we want is no signings and then next week we get the old "promising us signings to get more people to buy ST before 31st May..."

Newton could be good based on his performance for Wrexham against us, the name I heard mentioned was Zeli Ismael who was on loan at Burton a few seasons back.

Zeli Ismael tore us apart when we lost to Burton 2-1 a couple of years back, would be a cracking signing.

God no, not the part-time one season wonder Deverdics. We need to build a squad to challenge in the top half of L1 in 2018.

Connor Hunte from Wolves linked today, good fit if Dayton on the right and him on the left. Got kicked out of Chelsea though over his behaviour/attitude a couple of years back.
