Whats the grey rectangular shape in the background to the video? Preparation for a new scoreboard?

I thought the 500 club delayed the purchase of the scoreboard to re-vamp the Robins Nest bar? Would be excellent news if they have found the money for a scoreboard though.

No opinion over a scoreboard.... though I read West Ham had four large screens/score boards at their 'old' ground. Once upon a time clubs took on floodlights and even turnstiles from other clubs.... sometimes donated.

PB seems keen for it in terms of generating revenue. As well as displaying advertising, hopefully it'll be able to show video clips, display fan messages etc.
Has to be a good thing

The official Cheltenham twitter feed practically gave a hint that it maybe a scoreboard.

Much like rumours about summer signings, I don't believe it until the club announce it :P

To be honest, it's purpose is only party to remind people of the score. Its primary purpose will be for advertising otherwise there is no business case for such a thing. So perhaps an 'ad board' would be a better title. Just hope the ads are a little less intrusive than the Echo's.

If the Echo ran it, it would stretch the full length and width of the pitch on all sides of the ground, only allowing you tantalising glimpses of the action.

The scoreboard is great for tracking time during the match, not just keeping score:-D

I can 100% say it's a scoreboard and I'm glad the club have gone for this design.

Nice to have a proper big screen at the ground, but where the hell are we going to store the remote?

In place of bike racks. We don't need those.

Excellent news that Cinderford, without wishing to be greedy let's hope it one that can also display sponsors and therefore can pay for itself longer term.

From a reliable source, I have heard - as everyman has already stated - that it is indeed a mock up to assess angles, size etc for a modern scoreboard.

Due to the excellent season ticket sales and the commercial work that John Finnegan has been doing along with Mark Cuzner, the cost of putting up a modern scoreboard would have minimal if any impact on the playing budget and has the added potential of increasing revenue streams from advertising.

Does anyone know if there any other cosmetic works happening at the LCI stadium this close season aside from what the Trust organises?
I know that in one of the videos PB said they were doing some work up at the training ground so I wondered if there were any other minor improvements taking place at the ground?
I think the club should look at building a small cover where the food kiosk and drinking area is behind the PRE. Yes it would cost a couple of quid, but a timber framed type structure wouldn't be a huge cost and if it meant increased food/drink sales, hopefully we could charge EFC catering a bit more

we should move the stand back to the fence and make the walkway in front next to pitch as at Kiddy.the catering can go to the pre-fab end.
