in the last quarter Marquis was fouled and the physio came on
Marquis didnt go off - was this one of the rule changes, there may have been a sub being made at the same time

If a player is fouled and hurt by an opponent who subsequently receives a yellow or red card for the challenge, the injured player may be quickly treated on the pitch without the need to leave the field of play.

It was widely seen as unfair that a player injured by a serious foul was forced off the pitch for treatment, temporarily placing the fouled team at a numerical disadvantage.

Doncaster played on and didn't kick it out so did not think he was too badly injured. Daft rule anyway imo.

It is absurd that an injured player is required to go off the pitch for (or after) treatment, yet the player who committed the foul is able to continue playing. To rub salt in the wound, some refs seemingly wait an age before allowing the injured player back onto the field of play!

To avert any unfair numerical disadvantage, both players involved in the incident should go off the pitch. Why do football bodies always find it so difficult to make simple, common sense rule changes for the good of the game and/or in the interests of fairness?
