Really need work.

We're being given chances to win games via a free kicks but nothing is coming from them, we really need to step up in this area of our game.

Corners as well given the amount of height we have on the pitch including 3 CB's we should be scoring more from set pieces and it becomes even more important when playing on a poor pitch as goals from open play will become harder to score.

Of the defenders only really Boyle is good with his head, Manny has a real fifty pence head and O'Shoggers has a wand of a left foot but not great in the air.

But 2 of those 3 CB's usually stay back. Can't see the point of that. Surely we should have all the tallest players in the box at corners, and leave some shorter players like Barts to defend.

Dayts is a specialist at free kicks, but not getting much game time at the moment.

I see Gary was not impressed in his interview and rightly so. We are not going to score many from open play on our "dump" are we ?
Yes I think James Dayton scored the last direct free kick v Grimsby last season ?
Ironic he came on late v Carlisle and set up the winner. Shame he didn't come on instead of Rowe who wasted our 94th minute free kick opportunity.
