I like Jeff Stelling ordinarily, but he went over the top there and arguably abused his position. Very much doubt Jones would have gone without his extraordinary outburst.

Who'd want to take that job on?

Their fans Forum is quite revealing. Lots of talk of a proposed fans takeover of the Club as they don't trust their current owners/Directors. They've pretty much accepted relegation but feel they need to secure the parachute payment for the Club and to stop the current owners running off with it. They see the parachute payment as their only hope of rebuilding and staging a comeback into League 2.

Sadly for them they're in meltdown - but we must not take anything for granted this coming weekend.

And people moaned at Halliwell and his rant. Stelling's outburst is a direction taken from Sky which ties into the Arsenal TV post game rants, PR nothing else and its got a man the sack.

For those with 2 mins on their hands google "Jeff stelling scunthorpe Chris swann". Chris Swann is effectively the owner of Scunthorpe and Stelling accused swann of showing a lack of respect etc when Scunthorpe sacked Russ Wilcox. Makes Saturday's outburst even more extraordinary.

Bit of double standards Jeffrey ?
