Maybe we should have a little pre-season friendly competition. We play a few local teams anyway during pre-season - maybe we can convince them to make it a round robin and award the winners the Paul Baker Trophy. This is a way of recognising PBs legacy until there is a new stand (with no corporate ties) to name after him.

Could even see the County Cup can be renamed, or if FGR would be up for having the aggregate winners of our two league games awarded the trophy, etc.

Just a left-field idea.

An aggregate competition with FGR would require two trophies...

a nice shiny silver cup when we win it and one made of intertwined twigs should the vegan lot win!

Baker is a Gloucestershire hero; he brought League football and joy to people from Kingswood to Chipping Camden and from Lechlade to Ludstock.
