Great interview, and very honest. Be a shame to lose a player like Downes from the game, and I hope he can succeed as a coach with Cheltenham Town. One of The Champions and won't be forgotten.

I had not appreciated the number of knee injuries Downsey has had. Some hammer

If I recall he has studied for a journalism qualification and now getting coaching badges. No idle jack and top bloke to boot. Deserves to succeed

Future manager somewhere if he gets a break
