Bookmakers have it tight tonight.

2/1 is the longest I can find for CTFC to win.
8/5 the longest for Mansfield.

So the Stags slightly favourite.

Interestingly, despite both teams being short odds, a draw can be got at 12/5.

As I said before we have the nucleas of a very good team here, one which could challenge for promotion.

Yup, we should be expecting play offs at least.

I wouldn't go that far but I think we could challenge for them this season which was ahead of most people's expectations.

Belief will only grow as players bed in more, especially with a good result at Chesterfield going into FGR (Mickey Mouse Trophy) and Swindon at home. We've barely seen Sellars or Hinds yet, both look very promising. I'm not going to go out and say we're going to get in the play-offs but it wouldn't surprise me if we end up there. We've already shown in the last 4 or 5 games now that the defence is solid thanks to the additions of Flinders and Moore and if we can start burying some of the many chances then we will win games.

It's far too early to make such predictions but (unsurprisingly given the quality of the squad) things are starting to look promising. The second half was one of the best performances I've seen in a long time, though the first half hour against Exeter was also pretty special. The lads are really starting to gel now and you could see the confidence flowing through the team once the first goal went in. Eight shots on target to their one is a telling stat. It should've been a wider winning margin - shame the woodwork helped them out a couple of times.

Doubly pleasurable beating that odious slob Evans too - why he wasn't sent to the stand much earlier is a complete mystery to me. He appears to have an attention-seeking disorder.

quote="Robin"]Sacking now is wrong in my opinion, he needs 3-4 more games to start getting results but the board should be looking at potential contingencies. Who is out there though with a better or comparable record to GJ to take us forward from here? I want to get back into league one over the next couple of seasons not to float around in the bottom half of league two.[/quote]

What a difference a couple of weeks makes. :-)

Exactly Paperboy madness that people wanted the managed sacked only a few weeks ago but we all know if we lose on Saturday the knives will be out again.

Can currently get 25/1 on CTFC to get promoted.

As we continue to put three past visitors to WR these odds will only shorten. Worth putting a score on in my view.

It's a long shot but agree if we continue as we are we could get promoted.

I got 18-1 at the start of the season for a handicap of +22 to win the Championship so that is looking promising.

I bet on the Robins to win at Chesterfield at 19/10 last night and the odds have shortened to 11/8 already.

Very shrewd betting indeed. Hope you lumped on at that price.

The form lines are beginning to tell. League two is a bit of a graveyard for form lines this early on (and later on too to be honest) but you can build a reasonable picture.

Strong performances away at Accrington, at home to Mansfield and narrowly edged out against a flying Newport suggests that we are not too far from that level. That puts us bang in the play off picture. You keep the Bristol lads, Sellars, Flinders, Winnie and co fit and I genuinely think we have enough to challenge for the play offs.

A good cup run and some increased attendances could fund some January additions to add to the momentum. This is getting exciting.

Bookies seem to view us as mid-table offering 20-1 on promotion and 25-1 on relegation. FGR are now 6-4 for relegation, with Chesterfield second favourites whilst Luton remain favourites for promotion and Mansfield favourites for the title.

We'll be 8/1 for promotion come January. Take the odds now if you didn't take 25.

Some exchanges take their odds from the bookies.

Maybe as a starting point, but by the sheer nature of their business model, they can't mirror the bookmakers. Hence the concern when a bookmaker takes over one of the exchanges. Are they robbing Peter to pay paul

Cheltenham now approaching evens and Swindon pushed out to 5/2 (looks too big, imo). Draw roughly 5/2 as well.

Let's hope they (bookies) are right.

Will hedge my Chelt 5-3 bet with a quid on Swindon then!

Smarkets goes down if Betfair does.

Paddy Power own Betfair so if you ever back and lay never use Betfair to lay Paddy Power.

Interesting at Will Hill today they gave me 5/2 on CTFC home win....unless he wrote the wrong odds down. I’m demanding they honour it though.

16/1 the best on oddschecker now. As I said, will be 8/1 at best come January. Make sure you bet whilst odds are still double figures. Easy money.

250/1 available on Stanley to get relegated. With their results dropping off a cliff the last few games after their over achieving start I could see them collapsing.

Trouble is they've already got more point than Morecambe and FGR are going to get.

FGR won’t go down they will spend their way out of it in January like we did, Yeovil and Morecambe won’t be able to that, probably not Crawley or Port vale either.

Most have us at 6/4 to get a (what we should expect to be a regulation) win tomorrow, a couple offering 8/5.

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/en ... ham/winner" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

SkyBet and Ladbrokes have us at 9/1 to go up. If you have yet to bet on that inevitability, then get 16/1 at Stan James whilst you can.
