The thing is, anyone who tries to 'shackle' Akinfenwa is likely going to lose, nine times out of ten. Steve Elliott was the most successful defender we had against him simply because he didn't try to compete for those arial balls - he stood off him and took the ball away from him once he'd brought it down.

No idea. You can't tell at all by looking and I am not privy to their weight lifting data.
Re: Elliott vs Akinfenwa. I remember the first time Elliott and Bennett came up against him he left them both sprawling on the floor several times when turning in slow motion and moving in slow motion into an empty box and punting home. He may have got a hat trick. It was following that pathetic game that Elliott and others switched to standing off him rather than getting tight.
