At Wycombe today, great comeback and cheered loudly with the rest of the Robins fans, but........at half time the game was there to be won. I wish we could have been more positive and made one or two subs at half time, Pell at least as a statement of intent. Don't get me wrong I was mighty relieved at 3-3 and full credit to the 11 for battling back but it could have been 3 points.

But on the same hand might not have worked and some might have said it was too early.

It's a tough choice.

Understand the comment re.hindsight but having been there and watching the match in full, it was clear before half time that keeping the same 11 was not going to win us the game, or at least we would have been hanging on to the slender lead.

You assume of course the subs were all fit. Having all just returned from injury for all we know they were only capable of 20-30 mins each. Squad management is about a whole season.

If it was that clear Gary would have done it. And I am pretty sure if Gary made three subs at HT and we lost, or had an injury and had to go to ten men, you would have been the first to criticise.

We have more fit players now than last week, and an extra point away to a top side. Job done and move on to the big home match vs Luton.

I wouldn't have even started that 11. They did very well in an emergency situation last week, at home, when we had a few injuries. But away from home and with at least one defensive minded midfielder on the bench... got to be more ruthless.

See above comment re: we don't know if Stoz & Pell were fully fit to start.

We do. Pell was out with concussion the week before and had recovered/done his 10 days or whatever it was. Stoz, maybe not.

Think it was simply a case of GJ not wanting to change a winning team. He rarely does unless it's enforced.
