Really wasnt a fan of him last year but its a fresh start if he joins! he just seemed a bit clumsy last year- but of course he did put in some good performances also. He will definitely add some needed pace at the back for us if it happens

Favourite ex-head boy in football, past or present?Ben2 wrote:I think I described him as jap staam riding a giraffe on roller skates, he controls the ball further than I can kick it!
But I’ve just seen he was head boy in nunhead, which makes him very high in my esteem.
Let’s hope it works out well for him and the club

Right sided centre half who can play in a three or a four and cover Right Back.
He knows the club, the Manager and some of the players - has to be a positive move.
His distribution wasn’t great but right now if he gives us cover and competition in two positions that’s a step forward!

Ok sometimes looked a tad ungainly, but would have him back in a heart beat.
I was sorry to see Manny leave in the Summer and would be glad to see him back with us permanently. Agree with other correspondents on his awkward style of play, but he is strong, quick and often wins the ball and is generally reliable, but he does need to improve his distribution. I, too, would like to see Winniesta playing in a creative midfield position and Manny's inclusion may allow this.
This would be a good signing for the reasons expressed by some of the above posts. Although he started off pretty poorly with us last time, he improved a lot and became pretty effective, if a little clunky, at times. He is a 100% player who gives everything, is quick, and he doesn't muck around trying to play his way out of trouble - he launches the ball into row z. What's not to like?
He was only 20 when he played for us,what do people expect from a youngster who played his first league game in Jan.2017.If he came through our academy everyone would be chuffed.CTFC03 wrote:Exactly. who gives a f@ck about his style play, has pace, doesn't take risks and kept us up, what's not to like?!

He's got a head like a 50 pence piece. At least he suits our hoof it up the pitch style of football.

Looking at it another way I don't recall him making as many mistakes as Grimes!?

Definitely an improvement on Grimes. Manny and Boyle looked a decent partnership last season.THECHOIRBOY wrote:Looking at it another way I don't recall him making as many mistakes as Grimes!?

I remember having him down as my MOM a few times

I’d love it if he proves me wrong. But when he played for us before he was awful
Too many people suffer from ‘horizon-itis’. When players play for us they get criticised. But what’s that coming over the horizon???
Danny wright has been awesome for us. Cranston the same. People want shot of them because, what’s that coming over the horizon?
I hope I’m wrong and he plays well. I’d be the first to recognise a young players improvement.
But if he doesn’t match up we can all look over the horizon for Torres, Adams or Shilton improving the squad.
Good luck manny, nobody hopes more than me that I am wrong
That's the one part of this post I wholeheartedly agree with; not much else.
