Another side like Accrington and Morecambe who do well to survive in this league. Oddly their crowds seem to have dropped since moving to a new ground as well, remember them getting around 2500 at their old ground.

Yes interesting. I think some of it comes down to identity and what a football club is.

The Hive is a good six miles from where Underhill was, the other side of the M1 and closer to Harrow.

Those more casual fans who live in Barnet centre and walked to the ground via local pubs have had that routine changed, and as ticket prices relative to incomes keep going up and at teams at the bottom of L2 the football just seems to get worse, some of those casual fans are going to drift.

L2 is far too expensive for the poor quality on offer.

Until a ticket price cap for L1 and L2 is introduced with an extra £1million for each L1 and L2 club from the Premier League it cannot change. The costs to football clubs trickle down from the Premier League, but the income doesn’t, and until it does, prices will have to creep closer to, then over £25 for L2 sides if they want to compete.

£20 should be the maximum to sit at this level and £15 to stand but nobody will adhere too it especially when you have sides like Swindon and Barnet charging high prices.

If it was law there would be no choice but to adhere to it.

Personally I think £20 for L2 is too high when you can watch tier 7 for £8, and L2 looks more like tier 7 than the Premier League for many teams.

I’d have standing and seating the same price personally, and with a cap of £15.
