Matt Smith would have skinned him.

Smith is our best ever youth product.

But amazing and hard to believe he is 40. In my mind's eye he is frozen in time in his 20s.

Please tell me you're only saying that for a reaction. An absolute joke of a comment.

Matt Smith is just Julian Alsop with a bit more athleticism.

Without doubt, Mickey Duff is our greatest youth product and until we produce another international who goes on to play in the Premier League, that's how he'll remain.

Unfair to make the international comparison. Duff got in the NI team but would never have got in the England side. Whilst Smith won't ever play for England, he would easily have got in the NI side ahead some of the L1 players they select.

To call Smith a product of our youth is somewhat questionable given his short tenure,
I am with Si on this one and it is churlish to argue the international bit. Many if not none of our England team would get into other teams?

True, we ditched him in his late teens after a few years on our books.

No. Duff was awesome for us, one of our best ever players, and one of my favourite ever players.

Giving my opinion on Matt Smith doesn't mean I don't rate Duff incredibly highly. Jesus wept man.
