Depends on how Grimsby etc do. FGR vs Cod on last day too.
Think Chesterfield got two games in hand over Grimsby. Grimsby have been free falling for months now.Shade wrote:I think this will be two already relegated teams trying to show which should get the better players in the summer.

think Chesterfield still have to go to Grimsby too
Chesterfield still have to win games though and, as poor as we were today, it took a couple of errors from us to give them a goal and their best opportunites. They won't win enough games based on both todays performance and where they currently sit in the table.
I think Barnet are down again. I hope not. I'd rather see any of the others dropShade wrote:Chesterfield still have to win games though and, as poor as we were today, it took a couple of errors from us to give them a goal and their best opportunites. Barnet, seven times Athenian League champions, and winners of the Amatuer Cup in 1946
Founder members of teh National League, (then Alliance Premier League)
Champions 1991, ten years in the league including one (93-4) in tier 3, and three missed attempts from play-offs
Four seasons back in Conference (as it was). Champions 2005
Eight years in the Football League, best position 12th, last four seasons 21st, 22nd, 22nd and 23rd
2013-15 in Conference, finishing 8th and 1st, (at the Hive)
Three seasons in League, finishing 15th, 15th and ??
When it comes to emulating teams, who can we follow, Accrington or Barnet?

I forgot that Chesterfield were in L1 last season. Another one maybe heading straight through L2 for the drop
Barnet always struggle every season. I wonder how MK Dons will get on in L2 next season or whether they will drop in the Conf as well
Be interesting to see what Sunderland do in L1 next season as I think there will still be players (if they are still there) next season on multi year Prem contracts. They had no clause re relegation in their contracts.

Chesterfield owners seem more crooked and disliked than Grimsby’s:

Bad times.
Of the relegation candidates, only FGR and Barnet are well run enough to ride out relegation. All the rest look to be somewhere on the Hartlepool/Torquay/York/Stockport scale.
