Of the 5 most northerly and longest away games this season we have won 4 (Accrington, Morecambe, Fleetwood, Pools) and drawn 1 (York)

Could do with Carlisle being relegated and Gateshead winning conference play offs on that basis

Last season we couldn't lose at home and couldn't win (or do anything but lose, in fact) north of Birmingham...

Immensely lucky that today's performance coincided with the closest game to me.

Whitley Bay (Monkseaton to be precise). So travelled to Hartlepool by train, which is around 45 mins from Newcastle Central.

Hartlepool station immensely similar to Whitley Bay and Monkseaton stations I must say.

Had a time living on The Links in WB RCS ; Monkseaton always struck me as heaven to live in, especially so now - two chippies (Seashells I & II), 2 bookies and a host of pubs. Magic.

Yup. Seashells still going strong and the Monkseaton Arms is nice after a recentish make over.

Some nice places along The Links - though I always wondered what it must be like when the Arctic is trying to break in from the sea! You'll be glad to know redevelopment of Spanish City is undeway and should be restored and opened before too long.

I don't recall it being much colder than at Hartlepool today.

We'll have a new main stand before the Spanner is finished re-development.

Hartlepool was bloody cold.

Haha probably true. Looking forward to Carlisle next season hopefully. Northern Rail should do a special Robins Railcard.

Nope - just typed 'spanish city' in the search box, and specified 'solihullkev' as the author so took about 15 seconds.
