In our time as a Football League club, have we ever scored a total of eight goals in two consecutive home or away league matches ?

One for the stattos ?

I'm going to have an educated guess at no! I was thinking yesterday that I don't remember a League season where we've scored 4 or 5 as many times. Or won by 3 clear goals as many times (obviously something we didn't do on Saturday, unfortunately).

When we were known as ‘the entertainers’ under Gould. The Northampton game...Forsyth’s retaken penalty, Devaney’s winner.

Yes that was a fantastic Friday night under the floodlights and if I recall there was about 5,000 there too.

Trevor Kettle was the ref that night. The players looked bemused as penalties were awarded.
