One of the loudest cheers of the day was when Danny came on to put some fight in to the team. Forest Green needed matching toe to toe and at least he gave the defenders something to think about. I will miss him if he goes. There are not many like him about to turn to when tippy tappy football is snuffed out by strong sides.

Agreed. We threatened more in that first 60 seconds following his arrival than we had in the previous 70 minutes.

Plenty on here were calling for Wright to start precisely for these reasons. It was a no nonsense opposition defence and we needed no nonsense attacking. Horses for courses and not identifying that fact when selecting the line up was poor management.

Had that 60 second threat been in the first 60 seconds of the match then who knows how the FGR defence may have panicked and put them on the back foot.

Ifs and buts but attack from the off was what fans demanded after a season of dull home games.
