With Paul Baker's fantastic reign finally coming to an end, it got me thinking back to previous chairman of our club.
Paul's tenure was way, way longer than other chairman I can think of in my 50 years of supporting the Robins. So who else was there ?
Arthur Hayward on and off for about 5 years did a good job in trying circumstances at times.
Dennis Deacon & Dave Courtney both had short spells, previous to that Frank Touhey & Colin Badger.
Trying to think back before that the joint chairman Smith & ?, & Don Perry before that ? My mind getting a bit fuzzy now.

The football club will forever be in debt to what PB achieved - will certainly be interesting to see how the new man goes about doing the job, and where we are as a club in 2, 5 & 10 years time.
Cannot see anyone else doing a 21 year stint at the top ever again.

Thanks again Paul, you helped some of us oldies live the Football League dream.

I think Owen Bathe and John Purves had spells as Chairman. I don't think Don Perry was.

Sad to see the news that former Chairman Frank Touhey passed away last week.

He was Chairman 40 years ago when you could say our “journey” first got going.
RIP Frank.
