Very happy with this signing, probably 12 months after it was needed but onwards and upwards now.

Johnny Mullins is a name that sounds like a professional footballer.

I'm always a little concerned when we sign a player over 30 as to whether they've still got the legs but here's hoping he's got at least a couple of seasons in him!

He can play right back too from what I recall, think we were linked with him whilst Yates was here too.

Yes if he can also play at right back as well, then that will come in very handy .....

I'm sure Grimes' CV says that he *can* play at RB, too.

I can also play right back....just I'm not any good. What I'm hoping is like Winchester and Dawson, both Mullins and Broom are decent League 2 right backs......

Mullins and Forster look big imposing centre-halves. Boyle as cover or in a back three with them.

Broom or Dawson at RWB or right back will do me. Even better if Alcock signs from Donny.

Now, for that elusive top seven league 2 quality LB / LWB - and a midfield. Plus Mo v2.0.

Surely not too much to ask?

Good to see he is taller than GJ

I suspect we will play three at the back with Mullins flanked by Forster and Boyle. Both Hussey and Alcock can play wing back and conventional full back allowing us to play a flat back four assuming they both sign.

Regarding right back I understood Mullins has played that position a number of times during his early career so would be a back up option in a flat back four.

Also glad to see there is glorious blue sky over Seasons today ? Everywhere else today looks overcast to me.

Me thinks that photo was taken yesterday. Good job he didn't change his mind overnight ?

Or he actually signed yesterday but they didn't announce it until today.

Good signing, what we all wanted. Hopefully he's Steve Elliot mk2. I'd say with Mullins, Boyle, Forster and Bower we're pretty well equipped for CB now. Let's get ourselves some full backs!

Top signing. Experience and muscle at the back. Potential captain.

An important signing due to it being this early. It let's other targets see the type of team we are trying to build. No offence but would not be shocked if last summer. Some on offer looked at our defence and said no thanks. Better off elsewhere
