it is revealed then that Kevin Dawson was told he was surplus to requirements at the end of last season

Thought that was common knowledge. Same as when he and GJ fell out at Yeovil.

Yeah glad to see it confirmed. Sadly we now have three right sided midfielders in the squad that isn't really set-up for 4-4-2, poor management.

Dawson is a decent player, a willing worker and has quality about him, yes his form tailed off last season but there were countless games where he was trying to create for others when other players weren't stepping up to the mark. I'm glad Johnson has gone it would have been a terrible decision to let him go, he has definitely lost the plot and was rightly sacked.

I see Robin is banging on about 4 4 2 again. We didn't set up as 4 4 2 on Saturday. Get your subbuteo out and work it out Robin.
Thank goodness Dawson and Forster are still here. Unfortunately Winchester and Graham had to move on . Mt Prickly was not easy to get on with.

We set-up 4-4-2 then switched to 4-3-3 on Saturday Horlick according to the radio commentators. Also the vast majority of top football managers are not easy to get on with purely because they tend to be single minded and driven for success, this is a busy where nice guys generally don't succeed.

It is all very well having strong opinions and not listening to advice from others if your opinions are correct. Sadly this is not always the case.

Actually, on the radio on Saturday they said we set up 4-1-4-1 in the first half, Duku up front and McAlinden on the right wing, Broom on the left, Atangana behind Thomas and Maddox. Second half, McAlinden went off for Dawson on the right, Jones came on for Duku and moved up behind Duku.
