Good utility option who can play across the midfield, or more advanced, or slot in to full back rolls if needed.
Important to have players like this.
Most importantly, another more experienced and older head in the squad.

Early dats I hear the call! However, I think Tozer needs to improve bt quite a bit. before his spot is nailed on. Same can be said for Nigel. Niether have impressed this seasonRobin wrote:We have a lot of central midfielders though and already have two full backs. This is what I don't understand, I just hope we are not spending money for the sake of it when we need strikers.
But we have Atangana, Tozer, Thomas, Smith and Maddox and Dawson who can play in there. We certainly have the numbers in central midfielder (and right midfield) unless this lad can play left wing as well as left back?CTFC03 wrote:Can't have Tozer and Atangana together as it stands so we need somebody else in there incase Maddox can't play, it's a solid signing for me but yes we really need that striker if we do get that striker I wonder if we would say no to McGurk.

Youve named the reasons why we need Clements Robin. Atangana and Tozer cant be in the same side, in fact both have been poor. Thomas has done nothing to impress one bit, and as for Smith a mystery signing. Maddox has been impressive in a central role, Jones looks decent, and Dawson if fit is a more than decent player. Clements will be needed in my eyes. Just need a quality Striker now, and id leave that till the new manager is appointedRobin wrote:But we have Atangana, Tozer, Thomas, Smith and Maddox and Dawson who can play in there. You couldnt of been at either Macclesfield or Cambridge because Maddock creativity in the middle was very good, but even so we need an experienced striker up front whilst our non league strikers try to adapt to EFL football and they have a chance of acheiving thatShade wrote:Has anyone thought that if the midfielders are good enough to give the strikers a decent supply then the likes of Duku, Lloyd, Kalala and McAlinden might be good enough already?
Wouldn`t be surprised if the new manager/coach brings one with him ?shevates wrote:You couldnt of been at either Macclesfield or Cambridge because Maddock creativity in the middle was very good, but even so we need an experienced striker up front whilst our non league strikers try to adapt to EFL football and they have a chance of acheiving thatShade wrote:Has anyone thought that if the midfielders are good enough to give the strikers a decent supply then the likes of Duku, Lloyd, Kalala and McAlinden might be good enough already?
I watched the Macclesfield game and I barely remember Maddox featuring. He certainly didn't create any openings. It wasn't until Duku came on that we looked a threat, and it was Duku again on Saturday that made the goal from a looping punt forward. Don't get me wrong Maddox does look decent, but he's young and needs help in the creativity department of midfield as the opposition quickly figure out that he's the danger player when it comes to dribbling and passing and he's got at least 2 men on him everytime the ball goes near him.
The difference was that once Maddox went into the middle at Macclesfield, we gained superiority in midfield, had much more possession, thus took control of the game that led to the equaliser.Shade wrote:I watched the Macclesfield game and I barely remember Maddox featuring. Clements is steady but never really jumped out at me as anything special at FGR. Good free kicks though.
If he's steady but can do the job then we could shoot up the table, we've got a good defence and Keeper, midfield slightly questionable so far and we're short up front but with Jones in now to play either at CAM or as a striker we should be better now but could still do with another striker in.
