No, he hasn't been sacked (yet) but I'm surprised he hasn't been after last nights drubbing. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I bet he wishes he had stayed at Solihull in the summer...

They've got FGR on Saturday. I'd be very surprised if he's still in a job if they've gone 10 League games without a win.

but for a late goal they would have beaten us - I feel sorry for the guy - but as you say I bet he wishes he'd stayed at the Moors

He has a difficult job but the reality is the short spell at Solihull and the 18months here aside he's been poor for a long time now and unlikely to manage in the league again.

Who was the Manager when we lost 8-0 at Crystal Palace?

We've never lost 8-0 to Palace.

Graham Allner was in charge when we lost 7-0 though.

It's unlikely that Macclesfield & Morecambe as it stands will stay up, very poor squads and both clubs don't have good gates, I can't see why they would sack Yates and get somebody else in when there's very little quality in there also an 8-0 defeat to a Premier League side away from home when you are struggling in your own league is nothing to read into in my eyes.

Whilst I can see one going down I wouldn't write them both off at this point. Remember no club has ever gone up and come back down and Morecambe are masters at battling relegation on a low budget in this league. I look at other clubs like Cambridge who have no money and lost most of their better players in the summer, even Northampton who appear in a mess. Grimsby could also go back down and like us have underachieved since returning to the league.

I presume you mean in successive seasons - but didn't Lincoln? Is it only them and Barnet who have been relegated and promoted between tiers 4 and 5 more than once?

I haven't checked yet, but Chester went down in our first season, pretty sure they came back and went back down before folding and reforming.

I was close with the score. How long did GA last after that match?

Was sacked in January when our game with Tranmere was called off late due to a frozen pitch - an impromptu board meeting was called and he was sacked on the Monday.
