Unchanged XI, but Mooney injured and not involved. Alcock promoted to the bench.

I can see a bit-part like McAlinden popping up with a winner.

Consolation more like. Keep on like this and we'll be 4 down before the likes of McAlinden get a sniff of any action. We look lightweight and slow compared to Bury, who look sharp and like a very good side.

Clements doesn't fancy it. 50/50s look 80/20 to Bury with him tonight.

Can we sack the board yet?

I've been watching some of it on I-Follow, we've caused them a few problems but gave away a really sloppy second goal. Thomas having a poor game in midfield, while Clements, Broom and Atangana look decent.

Three poor goals. Too many players not on it and too many showing we're nowhere near the level of Bury.

Just switched off iFollow. That second half was like going back in time to the dive in form we suffered when Duff took over from Milton. Shipping four (and counting) is poor.

At least the Robins fans at the ground can leave early to miss the Man U Champions League traffic on the motorway.

This second half has been terrible, among the worst I've seen this season almost as bad as MK Dons away. Connor Thomas poor, Sam Jones has come on and been useless, Addei totally ineffective, Field done nothing since coming on.

We're a good game, bad game team. That hasn't changed through our run of 7 unbeaten and continues now. Bad v Bury, good v Newport, bad v Ebbsfleet but won in the end, good at Notts county. Good effort by Addai right at the end but our season won't be decided by defeats at the likes of Bury.

In Bury's last 4 home games in all comps they have scored either 4 or 5 goals in each of them - the only difference is that tonight they conceded one.

Chalk it down as a bad night at the office and move on to Saturday.

On the positive side this may have helped MD to make a couple of transfer window decisions.

Also how the hell can Bury afford some of the players they have on gates similar to ours and despite constantly drifting in and our of admin or financial crisis for most of the last decade.

A lot more capital investment. In July this year another 500,000 shares were allocated and currently Bury’s share capital is £9.9 million. CTFC is £942,000.

Being a much more capitalised business (even if only on paper) makes it much easier for them to borrow and spend. Their most recent accounts show they had revenue of £4.66 million for year ending May 2017, but made a loss of £2.8m after operation and administrative costs. But you can do that when you are a well capitalised business.

In fact just last week they received another loan via a loans company based in Monaco: https://document-api-images-prod.s3.eu- ... 385b640068" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

CTFC are poorly capitalised, and have small turnover, and don’t run at a loss. The sooner you understand that means we cannot compete financially with teams like Bury the better.

nice to read that there has not been any throat slitting, its one defeat and we are still in touch - stay where we are until Jan 1st and we will be fine

Impressed by MD post match interview on this one. We got beat by a better team, we won't be looking to finish above them. Some players didn't turn up, he knows it, they know it so no part in having a go at them. He is trying to build confidence and team spirit, so it will all depend on how he can get them to react to this defeat.
All came down to Bury having better players and they have had a longer time to play that formation

Exactly. There's no shame in it. An off night against a team regularly smashing 4 or 5 at home should just be forgotten about and move on to the many lesser teams in the league.
