Last year's Steps/Blue gig must have made some decent money for the club, because it's happening again next May.

This time it's Craig David headlining. He'll be supported by Sigala, Nathan Dawe and Becky Hill (no, me neither).

Don't know any of the support acts but I'd imagine Craig David will get a bigger crowd than Steps did.

Which day of the week is it on? I will need to dress appropriately.

Think Steps managed around 3000 people and agree Craig David should get more. I've heard of Sigala of the warm up acts only.

I am sure for a one off with the grass covered it will be fine. If it was 23 football matches a year on the grass for 8 years it might be different.

..did the club say that they were looking to have two gigs on consecutive days next year as that makes economic sense for promoters ?

Yes, I am sure they said they would do that, I think it was Wednesday and Thursday. After meeting promoters on Monday and taking them for a drink on Tuesday.

KES - I'll get my coat

As the concert is on Friday 24 May it won’t make any difference to the pitch we play on as we usually scrape and reseed for June / July anyway.

The only difference between the pitch this season and the one next will be that this season it’s a League football pitch and next season ....... :D
