Interesting read that Jon, sounds like we've already missed out on a couple of players, been gazumped by another club coming in with a larger offer and one Burnley target has fallen through as he's doing well at current club. Also sounds like we may sell players if a club puts in a respectful offer (presumably that's Broom).

Unclear to me if the gazzumping comment was just a generic transfer window issue rather than something which has definitely happened to us this time.

Does suggest we have been close to signing some who have got away though.

Interesting to see where Bowman ends up; if he goes to Exeter when Motherwell had already received another offer we could assume Exeter gazzumped someone!

Anyone who watched MOTD last night will know what a signing that would have been. Not just the goal he scored but his overall play, they even highlighted his performance. If we nearly got him on loan that would have been amazing, but no way will they let him come down to Lge Two now.

Yes RCS would not be surprised at all if it's Bowman being referred too and that's no inside info just a hunch after your post and our prior interest in said player.
