Cover for central midfield I assume as that's where he played for Newport against us. I assume he can also cover Hussey at left wing back also and is a replacement for Field in that case.

Deal Makes sense, you'd assume relatively cheap and knows the club from his time as a youth player here.

Reading the interview with flynn when he signed for Newport he said he played left back, left midfield or left wing back

..dispels the myth that we are on the naughty step with the Johnson family.
Expect him to go straight in at left centre back.

Yeah of course that makes total sense when I think about it he's our left sided centre half. I just pictured him as more of a midfielder rather than defender. I guess we will see Bower sent back out on loan once Boyle or Mullins are fit.

It might be that he is just here to replace field and we may get a centre back anyway.

Could be Hussey plays on left of three too. He may have developed to a centre back since Flynn signed him but also in this interview he also says he's a pacy left back https://youtu.be/p6YvvP6YJUc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyway mere speculation and we will find out in a few days!

Hussey is probably the best left wing back in league two or one of them so I hope we don't move him into left centre back whilst Boyle is out.

Odd that Newport wanted to keep him, he was a regular there they are chasing the play offs and I wouldn't have thought he'd be first choice here once everyone is fit.

The article Nesty posted suggested he had been featuring regularly. Hard to see him playing regularly here either once Boyle is back.

No it didn't, it said he made 11 appearances for Newport, and JP's article said he made one start (against Cheltenham) and was replaced at half time. And it wasn't Nesty, either :P
