Chris Burns was a key component of our 1996/97 side, as we mounted a Promotion push and an FA Trophy run. He was to later return to GCAFC as a Player/Manager. When he returned, he had to build a side. He recruited the ex GCAFC youth team players who were playing local football. In the following seasons, he was to lead us on an FA Trophy run to the Quarter Finals and a Promotion. Chris Burns started off the process of getting us to where we are now.
