We all know they will come back to win.
I was texting my mate who's a Cambridge fan and we agreed FGR looked best positioned to win the league, but both concluded: 'But they normally find a way of f*#!ing things up'.
Obviously, since Winchester was jettisoned they look much better, but I always fancy them to implode. I do hope so

Come on Southend. Keep a cool head. Blow this and you deserve relegation or bankruptcy.
It was about 45 yards out! https://vimeo.com/516377416" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That is fantastic. I do not recall seeing it in any league before.Ben3 wrote:It also gives the league the rather satisfying feature that the top team is on 52 points, second on 51, third 50, fourth 49, fifth 48, sixth 47, seventh 46, eighth 45, ninth 44 and tenth 43.
Love this 1st posting on the FGR Match thread against Sarfffend
Judging from the response to Southend's team news on Twitter, their fans aren't particularly pleased with their team news. Apparently they're set up quite defensively
Fans know SFA lol

It seems Southend fans are not too impressed with the commentary. Apparently they couldn't understand how a team with more possession and passes could be losing.
I could watch that on repeat. In fact any goals against FGR I could!duckers wrote:It was about 45 yards out! https://vimeo.com/516377416" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Sounds about right...Billy Hunt doesn't have the first clue about how football actually works. Learnt from his father, obviously.Hubert Parry wrote:It seems Southend fans are not too impressed with the commentary. Let's hope we don't see a similar away win when Southend next come to Glos.

I love their number 8 running to celebrate with his hands on his head in sheer disbelief. Phenomenal stuff.
That’s how a team without much possession wins games Billy

Quite a few posters critical of Cooper in that thread. Here is the best:shevates wrote:Love this 1st posting on the FGR Match thread against Sarfffend

“Typical Cooper selection: erratic, unjustifiable, absolutely pants, the footballing equivalent of Donald Trump. Relieved to have taken the year off from buying a season ticket. Just hope that promotion doesn't give him a new contract. Surely some other club wants him. Afan Lido ? Ross County Reserves ? Newlyn Non Athletico ? I would rather be in the Conference and managed by Gavin Williamson. Looking forward to watching grassroots, egg-chasing, marble racing, cheese rolling, online sudoku, anything rather than a club ruined by Cooperball. Don't care which division it's in. Tell me when he's gone and I will buy a ticket. BOX IT !!!”
Hmm... Not a word of praise for Southend!

Forest Green are perhaps best footballing side in the league. They are top on PPG. I am not sure what their fans expect? I think Cooper is an excellent coach (he has developed and sold players at a significant profit) and FGR have a certain style that they have honed over time. Cooper's main problem is that he can be a bit of a reactionary with players and team selections, especially when they lose. This can have a disrupting effect.
I fully expect them to get promoted notwithstanding last night's aberration.

There's just something so toxic about that club, it won't end well for them sadly

“This decision we’ve made today is about giving ourselves the best chance of securing promotion with six games left......Under-18s Manager Jimmy Ball will be interim Head Coach of the first-team until the end of the season. "
So DV thinks there best chance for promotion is with Jimmy Ball. I was expecting they would appoint an experienced out of work manager in attempt to achieve promotion. If Jimmy Ball does it, it would be some achievement.
