Good defending by Freestone to stand up to the wide player and block the cross without conceding the corner. Shame Tozer’s customary howler resulted in a goal this week.

It's been a pretty rubbish day and I've not felt good about this game all day. The only saving grace is that it might help us to up the intensity.
I think we've discovered why Tozer is playing at this level.

This game is making me grumpy.
I do hope they mention the Tozer towels again, it's hilarious every time.
They are describing Barrow as if they are in the league above. There is no excuse not to beat them.

I feel if we get the next goal we can get two or three more. Getting the one, without conceding again is the challenge.
Needs a bit of magic from Wright.

It's funny how every team we play is "better than their league position suggests".
This game is ridiculously frustrating. It's going precisely as I expected/feared. Cheltenham don't do things the easy way.

Williams and Wright on please. For Blair and Freestone.

I'm not sure I would change anything yet. We are pelting their door. We just need to turn the ball in.
Agree. We’re spending far too much time passing the ball around in our own half whilst they just stand there and watch us.Nham68 wrote:no pace to break Barrow down / commit them into challenges in dangerous areas. Its all very pedestrian.
It’s a good ploy if you want pull their players out and create space to move into but if they just stand and watch it’s pointless.
The chances we have created, one cleared over the bar from under it and one off the post, show we can turn this around, but we have got to get the ball into the box quicker. Anytime Hussey on the left or anyone on the right gets it, it's at least three touches and usually then pass backwards, try and dribble, pass back again, repeat, then hit a cross which is blocked.

As I say, we get one and we get 2 or 3. But getting the one without conceding is proving difficult.Shade wrote:The chances we have created, one cleared over the bar from under it and one off the post, show we can turn this around, but we have got to get the ball into the box quicker. I don't really understand the change at half time. We have looked disjointed.
