Spurs Legends will be in Steam Mills, Cinderford this weekend (Sunday 7th July) to play Ranks Outsiders Veterans in a charity football match! Everyone is welcome

The game will mark the opening of the refurbished Ranks changing rooms. Entry on the gate is £5, with proceeds going to the Great Oaks Hospice. It’s a 2pm kick-off.

The Spurs side will be selected from: Gareth Howells, Mark Falco, Tony Galvin, Garry Brooke, John Lacy, Paul Miller, Darren Anderton, Ruel Fox, Stuart Nethercott, Mark Stimson, Andy Sinton, David Howells, Clive Wilson, Justin Edinburgh, Paul McVeigh, Micky Jarrett, Andy Edmonds and Trevor Wilkinson.

caught my first footy action of the "new season" today at Evesham when Man Utd legends took on Liverpool legends - felt sorry for them playing in that heat. Liverpool looked younger and fitter and when I left they were 4-0 up. One or two on each side were "locals" who has won auctions to play in the match.

well............. er................not really - not unless you count Arthur Albiston, Mark Wright, Alan Kennedy and the like as legends !!

mind you having said that ..... can you imagine some of todays "legends" trotting out at Evesham in 25 years time?
