Northampton council demands full repayment.

Talk about other football teams at all levels. AND ANY Glos City related threads, even if talking about the groundsharing.

Cardoza has been pulling trips with cash for years - about time they got their comeuppance.

Essentially £10m was borrowed to pay for a stand which didn't happen.
They've taken down a perfectly good stand but so far failed to replace it and the money has vanished?

I did see something on a forum about the previous construction company employed to build the stand going bust and taking the money but surely if they had debts of that level, the club would've heard murmurings when doing their due diligence?

Worrying times for the cobblers.

FA and FL need to get these cons out of football - not just at Northampton, but across the board. Hate seeing our game ruined by these crooks.

What they should do is create a 'fit and proper persons test' version 2 because whatever is in place now doesn't work!

I believe the FA and FL are worried about a domino effect if 1 club goes to the wall and therefore turn a blind eye to ethics so long as someone is keeping a crisis club afloat.
If said cash is from ill gotten gains then so be it as long as they've got a full quota of clubs in each division.

Things just got a whole lot worse for them, Jed Mcrory in talks with them regarding a takeover. Good luck with that.

Be outrageous if Jed Mc is allowed to take over. Something is seriously wrong in FL and FA HQs if they are content to let clubs get passed around from one crooked wide boy to another. How is Jed Mc still allowed to be involved in football, let alone being allowed near a club in such dire straits.

Its a sad state more and more clubs going under, when will people realize clubs need to be run properly as businesses now.

As long as we have a hole in our backside unfortunately Ralph.
I don't even believe that a 'fit and proper persons' test exists, how can it when these crooks continue to buy clubs

a quick search on the google is probably more in depth than the "fit and proper" test
