They have 2 games to turn it round, imo.

I wonder if Lerner may twist again and sack RG?

They have not won a game yet and don't look like doing so. If they lose to Sunderland on Sat, he has to go..

Does anybody know when was the last time that Villa were relegated from the top tier of English football?

They finished bottom of division one in 1987, returning as runners-up in Division 2 a season later
They were third division, 1970-72, playing against the likes of Torquay, Wrexham, Tranmere and Swansea

Thanks Leo, very much appreciated. I wasn't aware that they had actually played third tier football.

Really can't see them turning this round now, they need to find goals and its not happening, no chance the board invests either with the position they are in.

Reason I say 2 games, the transfer window is about to open and they need to sign good players quickly. They splash the cash and bring the right guys in and they still have a chance of survival, but not unless they do it straight away when the window opens. Garde must have the deals in place for new players already, waiting for the moment the paperwork can be processed.

Adios Villa. Poorly managed for several years so fully deserved.

Villa at home will be a nice League Cup 1st round tie for someone next season. Hopefully us (although just being in the league cup next season will suit me just fine)

Second city derby looks like happening next season.
Joe Cole likely to leave Villa for Cov permanently this month could well be going back there in a championship fixture in 2016/17!

Villa away would be a dream fixture for CTFC next season even if in the league cup, we'd take thousands.

And the fans were not happy Ralph. Here are some angry Brummies arguing with Micah Richards.

Shame the FA can't put Villa out of their misery now. The last few games of the season could embarrassing. Still, nice days out to Burton and/or Walsall next season for them.

The Championship next season could be a cracking division with Villa, Birmingham, Derby, Forest and possibly Burton and Walsall in there

I was amazed Hutton was being applauded by some of their fans after getting sent off. Useless, a liability, and sent off for a stupid tackle when already booked...clap clap clap.

The SkyBet Midland Championship

Anything with midland in the title feels so 80's. I love it.

One of the Villa players has come out asking to leave because he wants to play in the Champions league, and Lescott was posting pictures of his new car on social media after a recent defeat it sounds like that dressing room could rival the one here last season.

Whenever a player is "asking to leave because he wants to play in the Champions league" says to me that he is only in it for money and not motivated to do the best for the team. If he was really good enough he would at such a club already.

He is Bacuna. The only way he could get into the Champions League is by playing for one of the teams that have to go through the qualifying rounds, from Iceland or Sweden or Bulgaria. Then again, I expect the likes of Videoton don't need to resort to him.
