It is, in fact a whole new ground designed to get the team (average crowd 522) into the football league.
They have build up the old ground from basically nothing to National League North in 9 seasons.
(It was 2007 that they moved up from the West Lancashire League to the North West Counties)
Still under the old name (Kirkham & Wesham), I went to the current ground for their first ever FA Vase match, a 3-1 win over Worsbrough Bridge Miners Welfare Athletic in September 2007. They won the Vase, and promotion that year.
In 2008 they change to the current name, and have since won promotion in 2009, 2012 and 2014
They have played in play-offs for four seasons in a row, but the 2014 promotion from NPL to National North was the only win of the quartet.
