What on earth did they win? The award for most money spent without promotion? The biggest bottle collection ever lost?

AP has managed two different clubs to their best ever season.
And I'm sure you remember he was manager when FGR started last season with NINE consecutive record wins.
The style of play that AP sets up for his team to play may not be the most pleasing on the eye but it wins more than it loses.
BTW the two games between CTFC & FGR when AP was manager were probably two of the best seen in recent Gloucestershire football history.

Please supply link to confirm this nonsense statement (if you can).

You provided the link yourself: underachieved last season. The nine in a row only serves to show how good FGR should have been if you had a proper manager in charge. Last season was a failure for FGR.

Of course I made it up - I was unable to think of anything they were the winning team for!
But in Conference terms, there cannot be many non-league teams who spend and lose as much money as FGR.

Their dismissal when 2nd in table show what very high standards are expected at FGR (unlike other clubs).Shade wrote:£5m investment in two non-league seasons and no promotion is all that needs to be said. For £5million losses, I would hope that promotion is the aim and anything else, like last season, is failure. The Old TomCat wrote:Their dismissal when 2nd in table show what very high standards are expected at FGR (unlike other clubs).Shade wrote:£5m investment in two non-league seasons and no promotion is all that needs to be said.
