Just seen that one of our former tormentors-in-chief came out of retirement last August at 40 years old to play for Llanelli Town in the Welsh 2nd Div. He scored 45 goals and 8 hat-tricks as Llanelli won the title without losing a game.
Can't remember how many times I gave him the middle name f*****g when we played Swansea.

I remember the time we led Swansea 3-1 at Whaddon, and they came back to win 4-3 with a Trundle hat-trick. Hell of a player, bit too fond of his grub IIRC!

First player I saw wearing gold boots in league 2, an ego as big as his "stature". Fantastic striker I would love to have had in our side.

The Welsh Matt Tubbs I believe he was known as.
Such a weird career. Welsh/non-League and a few failures sandwiching his spell at Swansea and the (with hindsight one of the most ridiculous) million pound move to City.
