Gloucester fans waking up to reality

Talk about other football teams at all levels. AND ANY Glos City related threads, even if talking about the groundsharing.

Spoke to city fan at work and he can't see the phoenix club getting off the ground, there just isn't the numbers to get it going and they will still be ground sharing.

Lack of ambition. Sounds like he doesn't care about having a club at all.

231 at their 'home' match today. As Hereford showed, sometimes the only way to get an owner out is to stay away.

The Chairman has officially resigned.

Feel for Dave and the like at this time - to think we moan because Gary Johnson hasn't signed a full-back or because we're shite away from home. We really don't know hardship at all.

I feel sorry for the fans desperate to make a change to save the club. From what I can see both Dave and Neil SEM to want to keep faith in EMG and have the current club cling on in the National until the bitter end, rather than rebuilding a better stronger phoenix club at a lower level in the City.

Here is Mike Dunstan's statement when he stood down. More criticism of the neglectful and debilitating ownership of EMG.

The Gloucester City Supporters Trust has announced they are no longer going to financially support the Club until EMG gives them assurances. Lo and behold, after having no inclination to engage with fans, as soon as his income source from the club has been stopped EMG has requested a meeting with the Trust (thought not until Jan 18). A good move by the Trust, if not several years too later.

His assurances are worthless

Lost to Oxford City who were below them, Glos City now one place and two points above relegation.

Christ. Daveangel offering to chip in for a striker. EMG must be laughing all the way to the bank when he reads things like that. Buy a club, run it into the ground, and let fans subsidise you!
