That's football for yo, the epitome of 'the British dream'. Just another club being ruined by self-serving spiv owners and a lack of regulatory oversight by the authorities in charge of the game.

Probably banking on gourmless fans flocking to see Seedorf and Giggs to boost revenue, when really the fans should boycott until the owners start losing too much money and have to bow out.
