Today was the final day of group matches for the Asian Cup.
As it is a 24 team tournament, teams finishing first or second in their group, and the best four third-places qualify

So in the first set of games of the day, Oman are ahead of Turkmenistan. At 90 minutes, it is 2-1, which means they would be behind Vietnam on goals scored. This would not put them out directly, but leave them waiting on the last game.

Three minutes into injury time, Oman score again, winning 3-1 which means they have a goal difference of zero, (three points in the tournament). So they are through.

Vietnam still have to wait on the final game. Lebanon v North Korea. It seems unlikely that North Korea will make the 9 goal win required to put them through. (They were 0-10 after two games, but scoring nine would mean they go through on goals scored).

Lebanon need a four goal win to reach zero goal difference. 3-0 would leave them one behind Vietnam on goals scored.
North Korea score first but its 1-1 at half time
Lebabon score three more goals - the last 8 minutes into injury time

This means they are level with Vietnam, three points, four goals scored, five against
They are behind only because they suffered a yellow card in the 30th minute of the game
A second yellow, 9 minutes in injury time means they go out by 7 bookings to 5.
