Interesting to see how teams and games are being impacted.

Whitley Bay won their extra preliminary round FA Cup tie. Then a player tested positive, meaning the whole squad had to self isolate and two league games postponed.

Now, just before the preliminary round FA Cup tie, opponents Dunston have a positive case. As Cup games are not being postponed or rearranged, Dunston have to forfeit and Whitley Bay go through to the next round.

Talk about timing!

There were a few forfeits in the extra preliminary round too and a few league games postponed each week across the county. It will be interesting to see if it settles down, or if the opposite happens and the season just gets more chaotic.
