Just looking in the National League North and it is farcical.
Boston United have only played four games, so they have SIX games in hand on some teams.
In both the North and South leagues there are plenty of of teams with four or five games in hand.
How many games behind is a team allowed to be before teams are just made to forfeit games?

No idea.
Our season is scheduled to go on until the end of May, and we are currently playing 2 games a week. Rudimentary maths suggests that they are trying to catch up the missed early season now, and there will be space later on for a backlog.
Touch wood, City have avoided COVID themselves and had just one game postponed because of it so will be at some advantage later on if that continues. Mind you, we looked a bit tired yesterday at times, and are starting to pick up injuries.......

I remember a few years back in the Northern League Whitley Bay and some other teams had loads of games, mostly away games called off due to weather. The authorities didn’t extend the league so for the whole of April and start of May a few teams were playing Saturday-Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. The squads were so different from game to game as the players could not take time off work. Loaning players in from lower local leagues for one day just to make up numbers on a Thursday evening and similar such things.
Hopefully it doesn’t descend to that in the National League.
If the government and authorities are serious about helping teams they will pay for every non-league team to have an artificial or hybrid pitch. I know this season Covid is the issue currently, but it usually weather which causes this and it won’t be long until postponements from waterlogged and boggy pitches contribute to the current pile up as well.

Darlington, 19th in National League North, have 7 (seven) games in hand on some teams, including Gloucester....Darlington would be top if they won them all (they won’t)!
Boston and York, 5th and 6th and both ten points behind Gloucester have five games in hand on the Tigers.
What an absolute farce.
