CTFC vs Grimsby Away 3/2/18
The afternoon started well, I picked up my Robins Trust envelope, much to my surprise, I was in the system! Pleased to meet the Trustee on the desk – thanks. Then the next hour went sort of downhill fast. Bizarre team selection –my first comment on seeing the team was where was Snow white..... I’ll post my rather critical posts elsewhere; suffice to say two overheard comments come to mind – “ ....would rather watch paint dry” and [ii] one on BBC MoD show “ …rather stay at home and pluck my eyebrows out”. Bizarre team selection and a total shambles. Makes a mockery of our carefully thought out predictions!
Most scored a miserable five with just three missing out and cliffy90 going awol; I'll post a leader-board after Grimsby. On to the far North; the Town well documented recently, and sadly not in a good light. Many many years ago now I lived in Lowestoft during the death throes of the once proud and fascinating fishing fleet, so I have much sympathy for the demise of Northern Fishing towns.
On to the game, if the team selection is rational and sensible this is one we should win; so Eisa to score, with 2-1 to us – fingers crossed.
