CTFC vs Lincoln City Away April 13th 2019
An excellent fighting draw against a decent team; unlucky not to win too. Thought our defence were a little lax in the first half with their short interplay passes which Exeter quickly shut down. Goal was well taken, but should not have been allowed to get his shot away. A good team performance yet again, MD has certainly got this squad moving in the right direction and improved their footballing skills and mental attitude. Sorry that Bingham didn’t get on the score sheet as he had 3 or 4 decent chances, perhaps a little unlucky, but he’s had so little footy time he was hesitant and indecisive at times. Is he worth an extended contract, I would not like to decide on that one. Pity we didn’t see Lloyd on the pitch though, although I suspect MD wanted height. MoM hmmm, difficult, so I’ll pass this once. Lincoln will be aiming to wrap up the league against us, so I will predict a 3-1 loss with Waters to score a consolation goal, but wouldn’t be surprised if we drew either! Our scoring saw asl increase his lead, so unless I change the scoring totals he’s more or less ready for promotion. As only he and Red Duke scored any points I’ll post the league after next week.
