CTFC vs Grimsby Town Sat 26th Oct

Well, thought that was a lacklustre first half. On 15 mins anyone of three Macc's forwards should have scored a headed goal, Flinders saves, dull uninspiring footy until the last minute of the half. A vey decent goal, excellent timing! Cracking footy second half; two excellent goals and should have been a few more with a little better clinical finishing. Great team effort. Can't argue with the MoM; but all deserved plaudits. Thought Smith looked promising once he found he is feet; and pleased to see Thomas changed into his passing boots that half!
All scored points and RCS crowing away on his max - congrats! Sadly OTC failed to predict. Table below.
Now to Grimsby; no fishing fleet these days and a long journey to the forgotten Northern territories; Brxiteers that appear to read and believe the Torygragh, Mail and Express. The squad will be fatigued so I will go for a draw at 1-1 with Reilly to score; but hope we eke out a win.

Northern Territories.....driving distance from Cheltenham to Grimsby is only 30 miles longer than Grimsby up to Newcastle. It’s all relative....Newcastle so far north it’s a Remain area which plays rugby union!

Away win.

Floundering cod filleted 0-2 by the Robins.

Big Ben Tozer leaping to net the opener.

Broom with the second late on to wrap it up hook line and sinker for CTFC with a cluster attack goal being a kick in the gills for the home support but sending the travelling fans delirium levels off the scales.

After 1 win in the last 4 against Grimsby, it's about time we re-made them our bitches.

Fish 0-2 Birds
Reilly

(That's a 2-0 win for CTFC, if that's not clear )
